Mediation With Attorneys
If you are represented by an attorney, you and your attorney will decide whether or not your attorney will attend the mediation.
If your attorney will be present, the mediation may be set up with everyone in one room or with separate rooms for each party and his or her attorney.
If you are represented by an attorney who will not be present, the mediation generally occurs with both parties in one room with me. If you need to discuss anything with your attorney during the mediation, I will arrange for you to speak with your attorney if he or she is available.
Unless there are unusual circumstances, I prefer not to have a mediation where one party has their attorney present and the other party does not.
No documents other than the Agreement to Mediate will be signed until they have been reviewed by your attorney.
